Join our Handbuilding Ceramics Monthly Workshop, a creative and immersive experience. This workshop provides a unique opportunity to explore the art of handbuilding with clay, focusing on traditional and contemporary techniques to create functional and sculptural ceramic pieces.
Workshop Highlights:
- Introduction to Handbuilding Techniques: Learn the foundational methods of handbuilding, including pinching, coiling, and slab building. Discover how to shape and mold clay using these techniques to create a variety of forms.
- Creative Exploration: Embrace your creativity and express your unique style by experimenting with textures, patterns, and surface decorations. Whether you're making bowls, mugs, vases, or abstract sculptures, you'll be encouraged to explore and innovate.
- Guided Projects: Each workshop will feature a guided project, offering step-by-step instructions to create specific ceramic pieces. These projects are designed to enhance your skills and inspire your artistic vision.
- Clay and Glazing: Gain hands-on experience with different types of clay and learn essential techniques for glazing and surface finishing.
- Firing Process: All pieces will be bisque fired and glazed if you so wish.
- Community and Collaboration: Connect with fellow participants in a supportive and inspiring environment.

- Duration: The workshop meets once a month, with each session lasting approximately 2 hours.
- Materials: All necessary materials, including clay, tools, and glazes, are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own tools or special materials if desired.
